Ich würde es lieben in so einem Haus zu Wohnen!
Vorausgesetzt, dass da kein Schimmelbefall ist.
Oh mann, am Abend schön gruselig :D

How is it that a place like this would be abandoned, everything is almost completely set up; would people just leave with everything still in place. This is wonderful but how would this be abandoned and remain ghostly similar to when it was forggoten?

My guess: Someone staged the whole scene

The mold on the wall looks almost decorative, like ivy crawling its way along the wall.

Wow. :wow:
How do you find all these amazing places? How have they not been looted/vandalised?

I usually find them by research on the internet, but I also get tips sometimes. Most of the places I've seen were vandalized or looted...

but you're not going to tell me they left the building leaving table-cloth and dishes and flowers on the table behind them, right? :)
however, this is giving a great sense of overhasty flight and it somewhat makes me feel sad for the poor building that's left alone in its mess.
wonderful capture!

I am not really sure. Perhaps someone arranged this scene. But I have seen older pictures, where it looked exactly the same.

so is that then something like a ...tourist attraction and someone is caring about the arrangement?
I mean,...those flowers on the table for instance don't look as if they were there since ages.
However, I don't want to discuss that to death.
It's an amazing picture, no matter how it was done :)

Well, the flowers were made from plastic. But yes, it is (or rather was) a tourist attraction of some sort, but not an official one :)

Fantastic! If something like that were here in Detroit, everything would have been stolen already. Apparently I need to UrbEx in your part of the world!

Thanks! Well, this is not common for European abandonments either. Most of them are trashed, only those in rural areas remain intact a bit longer. This is probably also true for the US.

:D Thanks! It's just a shame that they put this ugly lamp into this room

I know. *tsk tsk* Still, the rest of the photo has such a great effect that I think the lamp doesn't hurt it that much. :3

Sehr bescheiden. Die Ösis haben die Angewohnheit alles schnell abzureisen, umzubauen oder komplett zu versiegeln.
