I am like Ynne666 below in feeling that the remnants seem to be quite incongrous. In this case the unit against the wall, unless a copy, is probably quite valuable and the table once cleaned up may also be worth a reasonable sum of money as an antique, but nobody has taken them and it is their inclusion that makes the pictures intriguing. That looks to be a large safe in the middle of the unit? I take the point that you make in some of your other photographs that some of these scenes may have been composed by someone before you. Even supposing this is true there is still an amazing sense of sadness and stillness about your pictures, almost as if we are witnessing some majestic beast slowly dying. What I particularly like about your pictures is that there is never a sense that you are making a judgement, only that you are respectfully making a record of a place at a specific point in time and then leaving without interferring. Thanks.
