Oh my...why would someone abandond something like this!! Sorry I'm really into the way churches are built ^^; it seems like it would have been beautiful at one time....

Where is this church at by any chance country wise?

Those beams of light give a very First Ruins feel to it. If you've played Rayman M, you'll get the reference.

You should be working with people who design maps for Call of Duty or something.

This is so beautiful. Amazing. The light beams makes the atmosphere peaceful and sacred. It's such a shame that such a beautiful building had to go to waste :( Do you know how old the church is?

I wonder if the people who built this church ever thought it would eventually end up like this. :|

Wow, holish nikes. The vantage point is incredible. Was it bombed during a war or something? Where is this?

It's in Poland. AFAIK, it never was bombed, it was just abandoned after the WW2

... so the catholic people found no use for it after WWII ... well, that's nothing new.
I love the light in the middle part - very haunting.

Have you ever visited one of the old german Granges and Estates of former Silesia?
I know one that was used as an asylum. It's pretty much dilapidated now and really eerie!

Not yet. In fact this was my only trip to Poland so far. I really have to do some research to find some other locations there, could be worthwhile.

Haunting. Probably an Episcopal church. They all resigned and joined the Catholic Church.

It was a German protestant church. After WWII, the territory was given to Poland.

Despite its dilapidated state, the building still retains something of its original grandeur. I like how you captured the rays of light piercing through, as if God still resides in some way in this ghost of a building...
